Discovery
Discovery is the electro indie rock results of Rostam Batmanglij from Vampire Weekend and Wes Miles of Ra Ra Riot. They released their debut full length aptly titled “LP” back in July to some pretty negative reviews. They’re a bunch of assholes. Admittedly LP is not Citizen Kane of music, it’s 10 song of hands clapping and synths and I’ve decided I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that. You can stream the whole album on their site so hit the link and get down on their cover of “I Want You Back.”

U.S. Royalty
There’s something inherently charming about U.S. Royalty. “Every Summer” has been on repeat in my head for about two weeks, making me wish it had been in my head about two months ago when the Summer aspect of this would still have been applicable. I think I appreciate how unapologetically American their sound is. They’re just really good rock and roll and that should be good enough for just about everyone.

Adele
Here’s hoping you haven’t tired of English songstresses yet. The 21 year old Adele released her first album “19” early last year and it’s fantastic. Her biggest hit has been “Chasing Pavement,” which I actually wasn’t feeling, but then I found “Right as Rain” and “My Same” and they’re stellar. She’s Kate Nash plus 1 for a better voice, minus 1 for not saying “fuck” as much. Better yet, she’s a more talented Amy Winehouse minus the coke hab (or so I’m led to believe).
