I’m headed to the Jacob Javits Center today for BookExpo America, with Karl. BEA is America’s largest gathering of authors, agents, publishers, and vendors in the book/publishing industry. Should be a lot of fun, I can’t wait to check out some of the other university presses and trade publishers like WW Norton, Penguin, Chronicle, etc....
AN AMERICAN LEGACY ///
GM has decided to scrap the Pontiac brand, truly the end of an American legacy. What’s worse are the 21,000 jobs that are being cut by GM as well.
AUDI ///
Looks like 2008 was a good year for automaker Audi, despite an economic recession that is pounding most other car manufacturers. Audi posted record profits last year and their Interactive Annual Report (above) does an excellent job at featuring some of the inspiration behind the company’s success. Via PSFK
